Editorial & Product Information Policy

This policy explains how Wisent Parts Center researches, reviews, verifies, presents, and corrects product information published on wisentpartscenter.com.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

1. Responsibility & experience

Product descriptions, specifications, cross-references, fitment information, and technical content published on wisentpartscenter.com are researched and reviewed by the Wisent Parts Center Product Team.

Wisent Parts Center was founded by Denys Linnyk, who previously worked in the parts industry for approximately two years and developed practical experience with part identification, sourcing, cross-referencing, and customer parts requests. Additional information about the company is available on our About Us page.

2. How we research product information

We prioritize reliable, first-party information whenever it is available. Our preferred source hierarchy is:

  1. Original equipment manufacturer documentation, catalogs, technical information, and parts resources.
  2. Official manufacturer dealers, distributors, and authorized parts resources.
  3. Established heavy-duty parts catalogs and reputable industry databases used for additional verification.
  4. Physical manufacturer labels, tags, packaging, casting numbers, markings, connectors, and other identifying features on the part itself.

Other sources may help identify information that requires further research, but unverified marketplace listings and seller descriptions are not treated as authoritative sources for technical specifications, fitment, or cross-reference verification.

When important information cannot be verified with reasonable confidence, we prefer to omit it rather than present an assumption as fact.

3. Part numbers & cross-references

Part numbers and cross-reference numbers are reviewed using available manufacturer and industry information. A cross-reference may indicate that another number is associated with, supersedes, replaces, or corresponds to a component. It does not automatically guarantee compatibility with every vehicle, engine, or configuration in which another referenced number was used.

When compatibility cannot be verified with sufficient confidence, we do not present it as confirmed fitment.

4. Fitment & application information

Heavy-duty truck parts can vary by vehicle configuration, engine family, emissions system, model year, production date, calibration, and other specifications. We research available application information before publication, but critical fitment should be verified before ordering.

When appropriate, Wisent Parts Center may request a VIN, engine serial number, existing part number, manufacturer tag, product photograph, or other identifying information to help confirm the correct component. Customers can request fitment assistance through our Contact Us page.

Verify fitment with us before ordering to ensure the correct part for your application.

If Wisent Parts Center directly verifies a customer's application and an error on our part results in the incorrect item being supplied, the customer will not be charged a restocking fee for that return, subject to the applicable terms of our Return & Refund Policy.

5. Product type & condition

Wisent Parts Center may offer Genuine OEM, OE-supplier, aftermarket, remanufactured, new, new-other/open-box, and used components. The applicable product type and condition are identified on the individual product listing when relevant.

We do not represent an aftermarket, remanufactured, open-box, or used component as a new Genuine OEM component. When a product is described as Genuine OEM, that designation is based on available manufacturer identification, labeling, packaging, documentation, or other reliable evidence.

6. Product images

We use both actual product photographs and representative or manufacturer images when appropriate. Representative images are intended to help identify the product type and may not depict the exact individual item shipped.

Customers should review the written description, part number, stated condition, and images together when evaluating a listing.

7. Emissions & aftertreatment components

Wisent Parts Center sells legitimate replacement emissions and aftertreatment components used to repair and maintain systems such as DPF, DEF, EGR, SCR, and related equipment.

We do not knowingly sell emissions-delete devices, defeat devices, delete tuners, bypass software, simulators, or products intended to disable or circumvent legally required emissions-control systems.

8. Technology & AI-assisted research

Wisent Parts Center may use software, research tools, automation, and AI-assisted tools to help organize information, compare sources, research part numbers, or prepare product content. These tools do not replace our verification process.

Important factual information is reviewed against available source material before it is presented as verified information.

9. Pricing & availability

We work to keep pricing and availability accurate, but inventory, supplier availability, costs, and product information can change. If a material pricing, inventory, specification, or availability error affects an order, Wisent Parts Center may contact the customer to correct the issue, offer an appropriate alternative when available, or cancel and refund the affected order.

Additional order and payment terms are available in our Payment Policy and Terms of Service. Shipping information is available in our Shipping Policy.

10. Updates & corrections

Heavy-duty parts information can change as manufacturers issue new part numbers, supersessions, service information, technical updates, or catalog revisions. We may update product pages when newer or more reliable information becomes available and correct material errors when they are identified.

To report a product-information error, email admin@wisentpartscenter.com and include the applicable part number and the information you believe should be reviewed.

11. Product information, installation & warranty

Product descriptions, specifications, cross-references, and fitment information are provided to assist with product identification and purchasing decisions. They do not replace manufacturer service procedures, diagnostic information, installation instructions, technical service information, or the terms of an applicable product warranty.

Certain components may require professional diagnosis, programming, calibration, special tools, or specific installation procedures. Safety-critical or technically complex components should be diagnosed and installed by a qualified technician when appropriate.

Warranty coverage and exclusions are explained in our Warranty Information.

12. Manufacturer names & trademarks

Manufacturer names, logos, trademarks, and part numbers appearing on wisentpartscenter.com belong to their respective owners and are used for product identification and compatibility purposes. Unless specifically stated otherwise, a manufacturer reference does not imply sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement of Wisent Parts Center or Wisent LLC.

Our commitment

Our objective is to provide useful, supportable information that helps customers identify the correct heavy-duty component, understand what they are purchasing, and make informed purchasing decisions. When information cannot be verified with reasonable confidence, we prefer to omit it rather than guess.
