Detroit Diesel A0000701432 High Pressure Fuel Line Kit - Genuine Detroit for DD13, DD15, DD16

The Detroit Diesel A0000701432 is a genuine high pressure fuel line kit for DD13, DD15 and DD16 engines. It carries fuel from the high pressure pump to the rail and seals metal to metal at the ends, so fit and torque are what keep it from leaking.
Key Functions:

- Carries fuel from the high pressure pump to the rail
- Metal to metal sealing at both ends
- Rated for full rail pressure

Fitment & Specifications:

- Detroit DD13, DD15, DD16

Note: Verify fitment with us before ordering to ensure the correct part for your application.

Purpose of the Part

The line holds full injection pressure any time the engine runs. There is no O ring at the ends, the machined cone presses into the seat and that contact is the seal. It only works if both surfaces are clean and the nut is torqued right.

Issue Symptoms / When to Replace

Usually you smell or see it first, diesel weeping at the nut or wet streaks down the line. On the driving side, hard starting, long cranking, rail pressure faults and low power.

Do not chase a leak by tightening it. Once the sealing cone is marked, more torque just makes it worse. Same with reusing a line after it has been off, it usually will not seal twice.

Brand Information

Detroit builds these to the exact bend and length so the line sits relaxed once torqued. A line that has to be pulled into place carries stress every time the engine runs, and at rail pressure that is how they crack. That is usually why a cheap line goes back to leaking a few months later.

Installation Notes

1. Relieve pressure and let it cool first.
2. Cap every open fitting, dirt in a high pressure line ends up in the injectors.
3. Do not reuse the old line or bend a new one to fit.
4. Check the seats on the pump and rail, if they are marked the new line leaks too.
5. Start both nuts by hand so the line is not pulled sideways.
6. Torque to spec once. Backing off and retightening ruins the seal.
7. Prime, run it and check for leaks, then recheck after a road test.

How to Identify an OEM Part

Compare it to the line coming off. The bends, length and nut positions should match exactly, and the sealing cones should be clean with no tool marks. Genuine lines carry the Detroit part number.
